Have you heard about Karasawa?
Karasawa is what we can call a basin or depression located in the Northern Japan Alps, offering one of the most stunning views in the country.
Situated at an altitude of 2300m above sea level, this location is well sought after by mountaineering fans, for both the unique landscapes it offers, the access it grants to the Hotaka range and the facilities available for the visitors.
These facilities includes a camp site accommodating up to tents at peak season, and 2 lodges or mountain huts.
The hike up to Karasawa would take an average of 6h starting from Kamikochi, and would depend of course on the weather conditions, your physical conditions and the length of your break.
The peak season coincides with the early autumn leaves when the the whole basin wears a new orange-red-yellow outfit, and the early sunrise covers it in warm lights, making the scenery mesmerizing and outstanding.
This view is what inspired our first Limited Edition Design, that is actually available in 2 formats. The first is available in the September release, with a triptych layout. Check out the released products over our Shop and let us know your thoughts !
